American Heart Association : National organization that promotes heart wellness and provides information about heart disease and stroke.

American Speech-Language and Hearing Association : Professional organization for speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Provides information to the general public about a variety of communication disorders. Second website listed is a link to find a speech-language pathologist or audiologist in your area.

American Stroke Association : Division of the American Heart Association. Website provides general stroke information.

Aphasia Hope Foundation : A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Aphasia research and providing access to treatment for people with Aphasia.

The National Aphasia Association : A non-profit organization to promote public education, research, rehabilitation, and support services for people with Aphasia and their loved ones.

National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) : Basic information about Aphasia from the National Institutes of Health.

National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) : Basic Aphasia information and links to National Institutes of Health sponsored Aphasia research projects.

Community Resources

Traumatic Brain Injury Fund of New Jersey : Resource available for some New Jersey residents through the New Jersey Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Disability Services. Helps New Jersey residents who have an acquired brain injury access supports and services needed to foster independence and live in the community.

Brain Injury Association of New Jersey : New Jersey organization that provides support, information, outreach, and prevention services for people and families affected by brain injury.

Aphasia Community Groups in the United States and Canada : State-by-state list of Aphasia centers and groups, compiled by the National Aphasia Association.

Aphasia Center of California : Independent, non-profit organization in Oakland, California that provides direct service for people with Aphasia.

Adler Aphasia Center at Hadassah College Jerusalem : The first international branch of the Adler Aphasia Center in New Jersey. The center is an integral part of the college's Communication Disorders academic program

Aphasia Communication Enhancement Program (ACE) : Program is on the campus of Western Michigan University and provides activity-based groups for people with aphasia and their family members.

Aphasia Institute (Toronto) : A teaching and learning center that provides direct service for people with Aphasia and their families. The center is also involved in advocacy projects, provides educational opportunities, conducts research, and develops resources.

Aphasia Resource Center at Boston University : Center located in Boston, MA within the College of Health Rehabilitation Sciences on the campus of Boston University. The Center offers treatment groups and a once monthly support group.

Carondelet Aphasia Program : Program located in Tucson, AZ within St. Joseph's Hospital. Provides weekly group and computer coaching sessions.

Communication Recovery (CRG) : Located in Fullerton, CA. Groups are offered for people with aphasia and their caregivers.

Houston Aphasia Recovery Center (HARC) : Center located in Houston, TX and provides services to people with aphasia and their caregivers.

InteRACT (Intensive Residential Aphasia Communication Therapy) : Located in the Dalhousie University School of Human Communication Disorders in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. Offers weekly aphasia group and book club programs.

Kean University Institute for Adults Living with Communication Disabilities : Located in Union, NJ the Institute is a part of the Kean University speech clinic.

MossRehab Aphasia Center : Center located in Philadelphia, PA and offers a variety of programs for individuals living with chronic aphasia.

RIC Center for Aphasia Research and Treatment : Located in Chicago, IL and provides services for people with aphasia.

SCALE : The Snyder Center for Aphasia Life Enhancement (SCALE) in Baltimore, Maryland is a community center for people with Aphasia and their families and friends.

Stroke Comeback Center : Center in Vienna, Virginia dedicated to providing group, computer, and individual speech-language therapy programs for people after having a stroke.

The Aphasia House : Program is on the campus of University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. The facility is dedicated solely to provide intensive therapy for individuals with aphasia.
