Every caregiver has an amazing story that needs to be told. Their world has been turned upside down and inside out. Together, we attempt to clarify their ideas, attitudes, emotions and beliefs. Exploring options for positive change offers ways to live their new life to the fullest. It is an honor to help care for the caregivers."

I first came to The Adler Aphasia Center to attend a conference. Having worked in a hospital setting with aphasic patients I was very impressed with the Center. It was different than any other setting I had been involved with. It offers an opportunity for people with Aphasia as well as families and caregivers to socialize and participate in everyday activities. I feel privileged to be part of the staff here working towards making a daily difference in the lives of those people touched by Aphasia."

I think many people are turned off by the concept of research - maybe thinking it is too technical or sterile. The research we do at the center lets me partner with our members to capture the improved communication and socialization that is reflected by their success stories. As a result, the words that come to mind when I think of research are humanistic and inspiring."
