Computer - Computer Partners work one-on-one with members in the Center's Computer Lab using specially designed software programs that help members to stimulate their language skills. Volunteers will be trained and do not need extensive computer knowledge to be successful.

Group Facilitator or Assistant - As volunteers are identified based on experience and interaction with members, there may be opportunities to take on leadership roles. Group Facilitators co-lead or lead group discussions and activities. They receive specialized training and support and are supervised by the Center's experienced staff of speech-language pathologists. Specific groups and responsibilities will vary. Café Friend - Volunteers visit our café during the morning and lunch hours to converse with members. Volunteers in this area may also be asked to assist members with getting coffee, water, and snacks, as needed.
Technology Lab Partner - Tech Lab Partners work one-on-one with members in the Center's Technology Group or Technology Lab using iPads to help members enhance their communication skills through the use of technology. Volunteers will be trained but must comfortable with learning new technology and be generally familiar with computers and iPads. ( Click here to get a full description )
